ANALAITIVU, JAFFNA, SRI LANKA, [11 September 2026] — The Executive Committee of the Sri Harihara Puthra Iyanar Temple, Analaitivu, today announced the launch of the temple’s official website, www.analaitivuiyanar.org. Published in both Tamil and English, the website brings together in one public place the temple’s history, the progress of the new granite temple, its architectural drawings and official approvals, and the ways devotees in Sri Lanka and around the world can take part.
Henceforth, the website will be the primary place where Temple releases official information about the new temple construction — progress updates, announcements, published documents and information on donations.
“For more than four centuries this temple has held the Analaitivu community together, and today that community lives on every continent,” Mr. A Paramsothy, President of Executive Committee said. “Families who cannot travel to the island should be able to see the work they are supporting as clearly as those who can. The website lets everyone, here and abroad, follow the thiruppani from the same record, at any hour, in their own language.”
What the website offers
- Temple history — the origin of the temple and its 450-year heritage.Maha Thiruppani stages and timeline — the five phases from foundation to Kumbabishegam with the current status of each, and a dated record of milestones since 2023.
- Architectural drawings — the seven drawings, including an approved plan that can be zoomed and read in the browser.
- Official permits and documents — the building permit, approved plan, fire safety approval and land documents, published for public inspection.
- Events — photographs of ceremonies and construction, video, and live broadcasts.
- Pooja booking — offerings that can be booked from anywhere, with gothram and natchathiram recorded for the sankalpam.
- Donations — ways to contribute to the construction, including pledges toward specific elements of the temple.
- Devotee registration — a registry through which families can record their connection to Analaitivu.
The site also carries temple news, directions to the island, the temple dress code, the daily pooja times, and the temple’s local time and Tamil calendar date.
Devotees are invited to visit www.analaitivuiyanar.org, to register their families, and to share the website with relatives and friends so that everyone connected to Analaitivu receives official information from the same source

“நான்கு நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக இவ்வாலயம் அனலைதீவுச் சமூகத்தை ஒன்றிணைத்து வந்துள்ளது; இன்று அச்சமூகம் உலகின் எல்லாக் கண்டங்களிலும் வாழ்கிறது,” என நிர்வாக சபைத் தலைவர் திரு. அ. பரம்சோதி தெரிவித்துள்ளார். “தீவுக்கு நேரில் வர இயலாத குடும்பங்களும், தாம் ஆதரிக்கும் திருப்பணியை நேரில் வருவோரைப் போலவே தெளிவாகக் காண வேண்டும். இங்கும் வெளிநாடுகளிலும் உள்ள அனைவரும் ஒரே பதிவின் ஊடாக, எந்நேரமும், தமது சொந்த மொழியில் திருப்பணியைப் பின்தொடர இவ்விணையத்தளம் வழிசெய்கிறது.”

About the temple
Thiruvarulamiku Pooranaidevi Pushkaladevi Udanuarai Sri Harihara Puthra Iyanar Thirukovil stands at Nayinakulam, Analaitivu, an island off the Jaffna peninsula in northern Sri Lanka. By tradition, about 450 years ago a wooden chest carried ashore by the western sea was found to enshrine Lord Iyanar, and the temple has since been the guardian shrine of the island community.
